Aisha is an Executive Assistant at The Art of Applying, with experience in managing large-scale projects, developing program methods, and acting as a liaison between multiple streams of stakeholders. She received her Bachelor in Creative Writing from Columbia College Chicago and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) at Georgia College & State University.
Aisha has always had a strong dedication to supporting her community and coupled this passion with mission-focused service. Prior to working at The Art of Applying, Aisha was the regional coordinator for Girlstart, where she oversaw the implementation of several after-school STEM programs for young girls. She previously worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Generation Citizen, training and leading groups of volunteers to engage in community action and civic education. Rounding out her professional experience, Aisha worked as the content editor for an independent publishing company that served underground New York area writers.
A native New Yorker, Aisha now calls Austin her home. When she is not working, she enjoys watching horror movies, reading, writing, and digging into obscure topics.
