AJ is a mission-driven leader and entrepreneur with a wide range of management experience. He is currently the co-founder of a real estate startup called Cantina, whose vision is to recreate a new model of residential community that emphasizes intentional interaction and personal growth.
Prior to starting his own company he spent 7 years at Equalize Health, a radically innovative medtech company that is closing the gap in healthcare outcomes between less developed and more developed countries through product design. He began doing business development in South America and ended his tenure as COO of the organization, leading international design, strategy, and operations for the award-winning company, and taking a suite of products to global scale in over 60 countries.
AJ is the first in his family to graduate college and has tremendous respect for individuals who are trying to navigate these systems for the first time. A fan of both coasts, AJ holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Stanford University. He currently splits the difference in Austin, Texas, where he’s traded in his surfboard for a guitar.
