Mallory’s background in journalism, integrated marketing communications and leadership make her an experienced editor and writer. Mallory received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Southern Studies, as well as her Master’s in Journalism: Integrated Marketing Communications from The University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, she was selected for “Who’s Who” as a member of the Ole Miss Hall of Fame, worked as both Editor-in-Chief of the Ole Miss yearbook and The Daily Mississippian. When she was not working for the yearbook or paper, she was working with students of all levels in The Center for Writing at Rhetoric as a Level 3 Writing Consultant and team leader.
After receiving her Master’s, Mallory moved from Oxford, Mississippi to Austin, Texas to pursue a career in marketing working for the Texas Workforce Commission and later a small creative agency. She now runs her own business as an entrepreneur, writer and editor.
When she is not working, she spends time volunteering for the Girls Empowerment Network, Creative Mornings Austin and coaching girls basketball and cross country.
Mallory loves the role as editor because it plays into her strengths as not only a writer but a strategic thinker. Mallory loves to travel with her husband and welsh corgi, read fiction and memoirs, cook big meals on Sunday’s and dreams of being a yogi one day.
