Edgar received his Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in 2020. While at McCombs, Edgar was deeply involved as a member of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, an alum of Management Leadership for Tomorrow, Vice President of Internal Affairs for the Graduate Business Council, and Vice President of Curriculum for the Graduate Consulting Group. Since earning his MBA, Edgar has founded his own business while preparing to join Deloitte Consulting as a full-time senior consultant in 2021. He received his BA from Pomona College, specializing in mathematics (you can read his thesis here!).
Prior to his postsecondary education, Edgar lived in New Orleans after his family emigrated to the United States from Mexico. During this time, Edgar attended the LEDA Scholars Summer Institute where he completed the Aspects of Leadership Summer Institute program at Princeton University. The institute focuses on leadership training, academic writing instruction, standardized test preparation, college guidance, and community building. Edgar also served as a standardized test prep instructor for students in his hometown (increasing the average ACT score by 4 points!).
As a first-generation college graduate, Edgar understands the difficulties that school applications can pose for many students and is passionate about helping others achieve their academic and professional dreams. In addition to helping students get into their dream schools, Edgar also enjoys disc golf, soccer, and walks with his wife and their dog Willie.
