believe in me?” You fucking bet I will help you. And I already believe in you. If you didn’t have what it takes, you wouldn’t have reached out. So here we are. Hello, my friend. I’m excited about the journey we are about to embark upon. And no, I will not coach you or work on your materials for free. I value my own time—and your efforts—enough to charge a price that respects the value my team provides and the serious work we are doing together. But I will show up for you—for free—as much as I can with encouragement, with guidance, with words of affirmation, and with the ugly truths you need to hear using the strongest talent God gave me, my writing. I’ll keep showing up for you just like all of you keep showing up for me. You show up with your scattered resumes, messy essays, blank pages, and your litany of doubts, worries, and fears. Thank you for being imperfect and letting me see it. How else could we make it through this together? You trust yourself, you trust me, and you trust the process enough to show me and my team your big, bold dreams and your little broken bits. Our job is not to fix you; our job is to build the biggest, most beautiful mirror we can to first show you how awesome you are and then help you make sure your dream schools see you for who you are at your very best. You’ve come so far by admitting that you have a dream, by asking for help, by putting yourself out there, by going for it. Don’t let one, two, or even seventeen rejections make you sit down and decide you are unworthy. Remember: grad school is like marriage; you need The One—not the many. This is not a popularity contest; this is the foundation of your professional future. There is a school that is the right fit for you, and your job is to find it and claim it and let yourself be loved—even if it doesn’t come in the expected package. The key is to keep showing up for yourself. If you’re exhausted of showing up for yourself, show up for me. Show up for your future. Show up for the eager but aimless who are desperately seeking a leader like you. You are more than worthy; you are divinely inspired. Why else would you have a dream to do something beyond yourself if the dream itself didn’t come from beyond your own mind? Choose yourself. Choose to not give up. Choose to know that you are courageous. And the courageous never lose. So if you are feeling like you’ve lost, if you think you are a loser, the game just ain’t over yet, my friend. So get back out there and win, and know that I love you. Love, Kaneisha

Thank you so much for this! You had me at hello, but this really got me:
Show up for the eager but aimless who are desperately seeking a leader like you. You are more than worthy; you are divinely inspired. Why else would you have a dream to do something beyond yourself if the dream itself didn’t come from beyond your own mind?
I believe that writing is my God given talent too, just still figuring out what to write!
Thank you!

God help me.
