Muna is a Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduate from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Her academic journey is not limited to business; she also holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Texas at Austin.
During her MBA studies, Muna took on a pivotal role as the student leader for Consortium recruitment. She spearheaded the formation of an inclusive and intersectional student committee dedicated to enhancing outreach and recruitment efforts for prospective Black, Latinx, and Indigenous students. Furthermore, she served as the Vice President of Allyship within eQual (Engaged Queer & Allied MBAS) and was instrumental in co-founding the Muslim Graduate Business Association.
Before venturing into the world of business education, Muna worked in international development in Washington, DC. She also taught adult learners in Arabic language at K-16 institutions across the United States. Muna is a strong believer in creating a nurturing learning environment within higher education institutions that values diverse perspectives and encourages open dialogue.
In her leisure time, Muna enjoys experimenting with South Asian culinary flavors, maintaining a regular Pilates and Yoga practice, and indulging in an eclectic assortment of podcasts, which she listens to at a 1.75 times the normal speed!
