Over the next few weeks we’ll introduce you to top-tier MBA programs that you can apply to while you pursue your undergraduate degree. First up, we’re introducing you to the HBS 2+2 program. Our founder, Kaneisha Grayson, was part of the inaugural 2+2 class and she testifies to the transformative experience this program offers. How transformative you ask? At Harvard Kaneisha leveraged her business skills to win a grant through the Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship at HBS. She used the grant to launch The Art of Applying! Not only can this program launch into a successful business career, it could even help you launch your own venture. Have we piqued your interest? I thought so!
The Harvard Business School 2+2 Program
So how does the HBS 2+2 program work? Upon graduation from their current program, admitted students to the 2+2 program will spend a minimum of two years (or a maximum of four years) working in a professional position in the public, private, or non-profit sector. This allows students the time to gain work experience which helps them figure out their future career path and enhances their contributions to the HBS experience. Students then return to the classroom and complete their two year MBA from the world-renowned faculty at Harvard Business School. The HBS 2+2 Program was initially designed to focus on those students who did not major in business during their undergraduate studies, but now is open to students of all backgrounds, including those who have studied business previously. To learn more about the 2+2 Program from real students, be sure to check out this webinar. So how do you know if you’re eligible? We’ve got you covered. Eligibility You are eligible to apply for the current application season of the 2+2 program if you are in your final year of study within any of the following types of programs:
- Bachelor Degree Programs
- Joint Bachelor/Graduate Degree Programs
- Graduate Degree Programs – as long as you have not held a full-time work position. To be eligible for the 2+2 program, candidates need to have gone directly from undergraduate to graduate school. (Unfortunately, students enrolled in PhD programs, law school or medical school are not eligible for 2+2.)
In order to be considered for the class of 2023 (entering Fall 2021), you must graduate from your program between October 1, 2018 and September 30, 2019. So just what is HBS looking for in their 2+2 Program candidates?
